Step out of your comfort zone

Are you wanting to bring more magic into your life, because you’re unhappy with some aspect of your life.  For example.  if you don’t like your job, then you need to be prepared to do something to attract a change to step out of your comfort zone.

We can all sit around and hope something will happen to change our fortunes, but as the National Lottery slogan used to say – “You’ve got to be in it to win it.”
I wrote previously about how you can visualise and manifest new opportunities, abundance, new relationships but to make something happen you’ve got to do something different. Because if you keep doing the same things, nothing will change.

Albert Einstein is credited with saying, “The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.”
So if you’re not happy in your job, but turn up there every day, do just what needs to be done, don’t talk to anyone, don’t look for other positions, then this is never going to change.

But what stops us.

Fear of leaving your comfort zone, fear of change is what traps people in the same old routine.  And fear is something that doesn’t serve you, it will try to stop us from trying new things, which won’t help.

What does help  ?

Visualise your end goal – what is you want to achieve? Imagine yourself already having achieved it.  You’re programming new neural pathways in your brain. Research – Learn everything you can about what it is you want to do? find out what you will need to have or to do to achieve your goals – do you need new skills or qualification, do you just need to start applying for jobs? Access to information is so easy with the internet, does someone run online courses in what you need? Online courses are handy because generally speaking you can do them at your own speed.  Even if you struggled at school learning because you want to can change your whole experience of learning. 

Break it down into small steps – The main goal is too big to tackle all in one go.  So set smaller goals including one thing that you can do this week to make a start.  Work out your to do list pin it up and enjoy ticking them off one by one.

Talk to others about it – friends and family have their place, but at this point I would suggest you speak to someone who has already walked the walk.  Do you know someone who does whatever it it your wanting to do or something similar – reach out to them for advice you never know where it will lead. 

Do something scary – you never really know what you’re capable of until you try to do it.  Pushing yourself to step out of your comfort zone, is scary but you can actually get a buzz from it ,that will help to encourage you in your next step and your next.
Whether it’s something like promoting your business on social media by creating videos (this was my own personal push last month), climbing a mountain or sign up for a course, push yourself today.
The bigger the step the greater the reward

Take time to celebrate your achievements, don’t just wait until you have achieved your end goal.  Everything you do along the way is worth celebrating.  

If you want something enough you’ll find a way to make it happen.

So do something amazing today go out there and push yourself – do something new and who knows just what it’ll lead to, tomorrow.
